Fletchanator's comment: This is the only release by LA rockers Salty Dog. The best way to describe the album is "sleaze blues". Their sound mixes southern rock and LA sleaze to create a sound that's a mix of LA Guns, Bulletboys and Jackyl. Another band that sounds similar is Cats in Boots (another band I'll upload sometime), so if you like them, you'll like Salty Dog.

Thanks for posting Salty Dog. This is one of the most underated albums of its time.

I found this one in the cutout CD bin for 50 cents! It's a fun CD if you loved 80's metal.

You are awesome for posting this man! First Salty Dog song I ever heard was Come Along, and I fell in love with the guitar. Seriously, and the lyrics are just like old sleazy blues-- just rediculous innuendos like: "she's my hotdog bun".

Good job! You beat me to it!

I hope I can find a Salty Dog tape in a 50 cents bin someday. They sell on Amazon for like 50 bucks!

I still remember these guys, and I have to admit, I was not a fan of 'glam' metal. Lyrics like "Search for yourself, 'cause you're the hardest thing you're ever gonna find". And amazing "Molly Hatchet meets Aerosmith" licks. They definitely stood out. I definitely hope to find them in any music outlet. I think "grunge" bands like Mother Love Bone and Stone Temple Pilots must have had these guys in their collections, even if only on a mix tape. |-) '... so I know who you are... I'll get you, you cocksucker, and when I do boy... God bless you..."
