Fletchanator's comment: Now this is a really rare little gem. It's ripped from a cassette tape and as far as I can tell it has never received a CD or vinyl release. Information on this band is extremely scarce, but Wild Child appeared to be based in Ohio. This is probably their only release. Singer/guitarist Brian Kight is still making music today - he has a Youtube channel which features videos by a recent band called Ripcord, as well as old Wild Child live clips and clips from a pre-Wild Child band called Ripfist.
As for this album, it's a great slice of late 80s hard rock which reminds me in places of Babylon AD or Dokken and at other times has the funky edge of Bulletboys. The guitar work in particular makes this rise above most "undiscovered" bands of the era.

Thanks for the great review man much appreciated yes the band is out of Mount Vernon Ohio wild child continued on as whiskey mean the name change came about in 1990 from a doors cover band threatening to sue us based out of LA rewrote 45 more original tunes under the name whiskey mean which have not been released I am considering rereleasing and remastering this collection of songs all the original members are still active in music any feedback would be great
That is 4 to 5 more tracks... as Whiskey Mean
I have to say this band was formed long before this line up! We were called Ripfist, original speed metal core band, with original Bass player Dave Stout ! Dave wrote All the lyrics to Gotham City and was a big part of the early development and direction of the songs and the bands direction!!! Before Ripfist, was our bands called Wrongful Death, featuring Tim Branstool on some vocal action and about the same time.Silent Victim...2 slightly different band line ups playing our Original Hardcore, punk thrash mix of tunes! Craig Kight, Dave Stout and my self still play today, so look out...the next project will be knocking you the F*** out!
The link is not working anymore :(
Sadly, the link the Wild Child music doesn’t work. I saw RipFist in Ohio in the late 1980s when I was attending Kenyon College. I met a teen from Mount Vernon who was hanging out on campus and he invited several of my friends and me to go to see them.
Let me just say, RipFist was fantastic, truly. I wish I could hear them again. If anyone has a link, please post it! To the Jan 7th, 2017 anonymous commenter, thank you and please tell Craig and Dave they have a fan from about 30 years ago who misses them.
I wonder who that teen was...?
Was it Brian…. Or Bryan…😁🤘 PS… This release just was just re Mastered for streaming, CD’s and vinyl… Next up is a Live Recording of RipFist!!!
